One of the foremost Swiss brands that focuses on women’s watches, Tissot, has expanded its Désir collection with new moonphase models. Launched earlier this year in March, the Désir collection gained popularity for its beautiful mother-of-pearl and gem-set timepieces and a signature cabochon crown at 2 o’clock. These quartz-powered watches were offered in case sizes ranging from 28 mm to 29.6 mm. The moonphase complication further expands the line with six interpretations built around the rhythm of the lunar cycle – two models feature night-sky-inspired dials, and the other four get silky-textured dials that play elegantly with light.

The moonphase aperture is positioned at 5 o’clock on all models. For the night-sky versions, one has a diamond-set crescent moon, while the other uses Roman numerals for a more traditional aesthetic. As light moves across the dial, the mineral inclusions create subtle points of brilliance that change with the movement of the wrist. Four additional versions offer a softer interpretation with silky-textured dials in silver, golden beige, and red. Their structured surfaces are designed to catch and diffuse light, while each model incorporates a white mother-of-pearl disc within the moonphase display, alongside diamond hour markers and leaf-shaped hands.

All six watches use a 29.6 mm stainless-steel case with a crown at 2 o’clock topped by a ceramic cabochon, which includes a bi-colour execution with a silver dial. An anti-reflective coating protects the crystal, while 50-metre water resistance makes the watches suitable for everyday wear. Inside is a Swiss quartz movement with a moonphase complication and EOL (End of Life) indication. The watches are completed by a thin metal bracelet tapering from 13 mm to 11 mm.

The new Tissot Désir watches come at an affordable price range. The night-sky version with Roman numerals is priced at INR 49,500, and the one with diamond markers at INR 54,500. The bi-coloured model with a silky dial is priced at INR 57,500, and the other three at INR 52,000.
