On this 4th of July, the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence from British rule. To mark this Semiquincentennial, Zenith has introduced the Chronomaster Revival Liberty II, a special edition inspired by the 1969 A384 and created exclusively for the US market. The model highlights the brand’s connection with America – during his visit to the US, founder Georges Favre-Jacot was inspired by the country’s industrial manufacturing model to establish Switzerland’s first fully integrated watch manufacturer. The Liberty II pays tribute to this historical relationship while combining vintage design with commemorative details.

The model faithfully reproduces a 37 mm tonneau-shaped case of the original A384, crafted from stainless steel with a polished and brushed finish, while a limited-edition forged carbon version is also available. The transparent caseback is engraved with ‘AMERICA 250TH ANNIVERSARY’, and the watch offers water resistance up to 50 metres.

The timepiece features a white-lacquered dial with blue chronograph counters. The striped central seconds hand, finished with 13 alternating red and white stripes, references the original American colonies. The blue tachymeter scale highlights the ‘250’ marking in red, whereas the date disc featuring a red ‘4’ at 4:30 adds another anniversary detail. Rhodium-plated, faceted hour markers and hands with Super-LumiNova SLN C1 offer low-light visibility. The dial shows central hours and minutes, a small seconds display at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock.

The automatic EI Primero 400 column-wheel chronograph calibre powers the watch, operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz). The movement enables time measurement to one-tenth of a second and has a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. It is decorated with an oscillating weight featuring a Côtes de Genève motif that is visible through the caseback.

The stainless steel edition comes with a stainless steel ladder bracelet created by Geneva-based bracelet manufacturer Gay Frères and a blue Cordura-effect rubber strap with a textured finish. The forged carbon edition is offered with a blue Cordura-effect rubber strap.

The stainless steel model (Ref. Ref 03.US384-2.400/69.M384) is limited to 250 pieces and is priced at approximately INR 10 lakh, while the forged carbon model (Ref. Ref 10.US384.400/69.C823) is limited to just 25 pieces and is priced at approximately INR 13 lakh.
