Belgian independent watchmaker Ressence has expanded its most-recognised TYPE 11 line with a new generation of timepieces, now equipped with the brand’s first in-house movement. Described as its “most complete and contemporary watch to date,” the new TYPE 11 integrates a patented display, patented power reserve indicator, and the brand’s signature Ressence Orbital Convex System. The collection introduces three models – TYPE 11 P, TYPE 11 S, and TYPE 11 L – presented in Pine, Sky, and Latte colourways, respectively.

At the core of the watch is the newly developed automatic Ressence Werk RW-01, engineered specifically to power the Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS 11.1). Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a 60-hour power reserve, the movement comprises 40 jewels, 67 gears, and 18 ball bearings. Unlike earlier models, the RW-01 is designed as a fully integrated system, removing the traditional separation between movement and display.

The display continues Ressence’s unconventional approach to timekeeping, presenting hours, minutes, seconds, and power reserve via rotating discs instead of hands. These indications are arranged on a convex Grade 5 titanium dial with a 100 mm radius, structured around three eccentric satellites within a 3D titanium frame. Engraved markers are filled with Grade A Super-LumiNova for visibility, while the patented power reserve indicator uses ceramic micro-balls in contrasting tones to visually track remaining energy.

The watch is housed in a pebble-shaped Grade 5 titanium case measuring 41 mm in diameter, 11 mm in thickness, and 45 mm lug-to-lug. A double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating protects the dial. Staying true to the brand’s design philosophy, the watch omits a traditional crown; winding and time-setting are controlled via a caseback lever. A viewing window on the caseback offers a glimpse of the movement. Water resistance is rated at 30 metres.

All three models are offered with a variety of strap options, including leather, rubber, hybrid leather-rubber, and a titanium Milanese mesh bracelet. Each is secured with an ardillon buckle and features a straight inter-lug push-pin construction with 20–18 mm spacing.
The Ressence TYPE 11 will be available from May 2026 through selected retailers and the brand’s e-commerce platform, priced at approximately INR 27,20,000.
