Swiss brand Victorinox has unveiled its newestcollection, the Concept One. The line marks a technical step forward and bringsinto the spotlight the brand’s first solar-powered watch, with four modelsalongside four automatic models.

The timepieces are made from stainless steeland measure a versatile 39 mm. At the forefront is the solar-powered variant,driven by the Swiss-made Ronda 215 movement with an impressive eight-yearbattery life. It harnesses both natural and artificial light to ensureoperation in different environmental conditions.


The watch is able to restart with just aminute of sunlight via a quick-start function, while a full charge allows up toeight months of autonomy in complete darkness. The movement is furtherreinforced with built-in overcharge protection.

On the other side, the automatic models arepowered by the La Joux-Perret G100 calibre, offering a weekend-proof 68-hourpower reserve.


Design-wise, the solar models feature clean,curved dials, while the automatic ones have vertically brushed dials. These arepaired with luminescent hands and indices for low-light readability. The bezelis sunray satin-finished and features a sloped hexagonal geometry with apolished inner section. All models are water-resistant up to 100 metres, andfeature double anti-shock protection and magnetic resistance.
The timepieces are offered in four colouroptions across both variations – blue, green, black, and storm (grey) – andcome paired with interchangeable rubber straps or a steel bracelet.
