All the watch news, reviews, videos you want, brought to you from fellow collectors

A new watch event is set to take place alongside the upcoming Dubai Watch Week—Timezones, founded by Micro Indy Collective (MIC) and Watchcollectivetwo (WCT), will bring together more than 70 independent and microbrand watchmakers from around the world. The event will be held at the Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa, Dubai, on 21st November (1 pm to 10 pm) and 22nd November (10 am to 10 pm), and will be covered by Chronoholic as the official media partner.

Created by watch lovers for watch lovers, the idea is to let visitors “travel through timezones,” discovering watches from different regions in one place. Unlike a traditional fair, Timezones combines table displays with booths, creating a friendly, hands-on experience. Guests can buy watches directly, attend watchmaking workshops by Initium (led by FHH-accredited watchmaker Mathieu Gigandet and Gilles Francfort), and witness exclusive launches and world premieres.

Special limited editions will be unveiled by brands such as Farer, Timeless, OOO, and Monbrey, while several watchmakers—including Maxim Shushkov, Rashid Tsoroev, and Aurelia—will make their global debut. Other highlights include Felipe Pikullik’s new Moonphase II and a haute horlogerie creation from Tayeb Boussalia, Owner at RADCLIFFe Watch Co., and Amy Eujeny, the South Korean luxury watch and jewellery brand.
The event will showcase a long list of brands, from well-known independents such as Christopher Ward, Baltic, Reservoir, and Sartory Billard, to newer names including Holgur, Selten, Monbrey, and Naga.

MIC, founded by Omar Kabbani and Samuel Danho, is a global community that connects over 250 brands, strap makers, and more than 1,000 members worldwide. It offers collectors early access to new launches, special editions, and direct contact with independent makers. MIC has already hosted over 30 events across London, Dubai, and Geneva.
Ahmed Gawdat is a Middle Eastern watch collector and enthusiast, and the founder of @WATCHCOLLECTIVETWO, a Dubai-based platform dedicated to microbrand and independent watchmaking. What began as his personal passion for collecting has grown into a vibrant community that celebrates rare timepieces, unboxings, and the stories behind exceptional watches.
Visitors are required to register at www.timezonesofficial.com . The event is free and open to the public.
