Bringing a bold and functional addition to its luminescent-driven Lum series, Bell & Ross has released the new BR-03 Diver Lum Outline (Ref. BR03A-D-OL-CE/SRB). First introduced in 2017, the BR-03 Diver translated the brand’s cockpit-inspired “circle in a square” identity into a professional-grade dive watch. The latest model deepens the concept—both aesthetically and technically—by tracing the dial’s key features with a vivid Super-LumiNova outline.
The square case, measuring 42 mm on each side, is made of microblasted black ceramic. It is 11.2 mm thick and features exposed screws. The unidirectional rotating bezel, also ceramic, features a 60-minute diving scale, with markings fully treated in Super-LumiNova X2 for optimal underwater visibility. The watch meets ISO 6425 certification, ensuring professional diving performance to a depth of 300 metres.
On the dial side—matte black lacquered—rather than simply filling indices or hands, SLN X2 is applied as a design contour, outlining the skeletonised arrow hands and bathtub-shaped hour markers in glowing green. The minute track and the numerals on the date window at 4:30 are marked in green.
The watch is powered by the automatic BR-CAL.302-1 calibre, based on the Sellita SW300-1, which beats at a 4 Hz frequency and offers a 54-hour power reserve.
The timepiece is delivered with two strap options—black rubber and black synthetic fabric—both secured with a black microblasted PVD pin buckle.
Limited to just 500 pieces, the Bell & Ross BR-03 Diver Lum Outline is priced at approx. INR 5,47,000.
What we think -
Bell & Ross is a beloved independent that has a USP - highly functional square performance watches. They do an amazing job and this highly luminous and legible diver is no exception. That said, a one trick pony gets too old too fast in this ever evolving industry, and the few steps that the brand is taking to add more lines and designs to their portfolio are not that interesting enough. Bell & Ross deserves more love, more appreciation but that can be hard to come by when almost every watch they make looks the same. We do have high hopes for them, though, because whatever they do, they do with a firm belief in themselves.
