Vacheron Constantin has unveiled two new interpretations of its celebrated Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin. Launched in 2016, the timepiece is now offered in one 18K 5N pink gold version with a matching dial (Ref. 4300V/220R-H144), and the other in 18K white gold paired with a burgundy lacquer dial (Ref. 4300V/220G-H151).

Each model is housed in a 41.5 mm barrel-shaped case with a slim 8.1 mm thickness, complemented by a notched bezel reflecting the brand’s Maltese cross. The cases feature a soft iron casing ring for anti-magnetic protection, a transparent sapphire caseback, and water resistance to approximately 50 metres.

The dials reflect the character of each version. The pink gold version features a translucent lacquer dial in a gold-toned, sunburst satin finish, with all its elements in 18K pink gold such as the applied markers and hands, and tone-on-tone gold-coloured sub-dials and moon phase, with a velvet-finished flange. The white gold model with the burgundy dial is also sunburst satin-finished with a velvet-finished flange, contrasted with 18K white gold applied markers and hands, and tone-on-tone gold-coloured sub-dials and moon phase. The counters are snailed and the hands in both models are filled with blue Super-LumiNova®.

Powering the timepieces is the Manufacture Calibre 1120 QP/1, an automatic movement developed and produced by Vacheron Constantin. It beats at a frequency of 2.75 Hz (19,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of about 40 hours. Despite its slim profile at 4.05 mm, the calibre incorporates a complete perpetual calendar with day, date, month, and leap year indication on a 48-month counter, as well as hours, minutes, and a moon-phase display. The perpetual calendar automatically adjusts for irregular month lengths and leap years, requiring no manual adjustment until the year 2100, and only then for centenary years not divisible by 400.

The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, where the 22K gold oscillating weight is decorated with a compass rose, a symbol of the Overseas collection’s spirit of travel and exploration. The finishing meets the exacting standards of the Poinçon de Genève, with techniques including Côtes de Genève, straight-graining, circular-graining, and chamfering, applied even to components that remain hidden once assembled.

The watches are paired with bracelets in matching gold, crafted with links shaped like half Maltese crosses that are both polished and satin-brushed, secured by a triple-blade folding clasp with a comfort-adjustment system. Each watch is also delivered with two additional interchangeable rubber straps—blue and white for the pink gold model, burgundy and white for the white gold version.

The new Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin models are priced at approx. INR 1,37,80,000.
