This year, Tudor has mostly focused on its Black Bay and Pelagos collections. Rolex’s sister brand has now begun expanding its other lines with new versions - such as the diamond-studded Royal collection - and new complications, the latest being the 1926 Luna. The 1926 collection, introduced in 2018, takes its name from the year Hans Wilsdorf registered Tudor, envisioned as a high-quality yet accessible modern dress watch inspired by the brand’s heritage. The timepieces were offered in various case sizes ranging from 28 mm to 41 mm, with multiple dial colours. However, since its launch, the collection has remained stagnant with no new additions. In 2025, the brand expanded the line with a complication never before seen in a Tudor watch, the moonphase.
The novelty comes in a 39 mm polished stainless-steel case with a thickness of 10.1 mm - a case and design versatile for many occasions and wrist sizes. Framed by a smooth steel bezel and topped with a sapphire crystal, the sunray-brushed dial is offered in three colours - black (Ref. M91560-0003), blue (Ref. M91560-0002), and champagne (Ref. M91560-0001). The black dial features gold-coloured accents, the blue dial comes with silver accents, and the champagne version is paired with blackened hardware. The moonphase indicator sits at 6 o’clock in contrasting shades against the dial. The dial is further finished with applied hour markers and numerals, leaf-shaped hands, and a white/black date window at 3 o’clock. The case is completed with a closed caseback and a screw-down crown, giving the watch 100 metres of water resistance.
Beating inside the timepiece is a Sellita movement based on the SW280-1 architecture, which runs at 4 Hz with a precision of -4/+6 seconds per day and offers a 41-hour power reserve. So far, Tudor has used Kenissi movements for most of its models - the use of a Sellita calibre marks another breakthrough for the new 1926 Luna.
The 1926 Luna comes with a 7-link stainless-steel bracelet featuring brushed and polished surfaces, secured with a folding clasp. The watch is priced at approximately INR 2,73,000.
