Marking the 50th anniversary of one of its most iconic creations, Bvlgari has unveiled four new iterations of the Bvlgari Bvlgari watch. These special editions—the Bvlgari Bvlgari 50th Anniversary and the Bvlgari Bvlgari Marble Dial—celebrate half a century of Roman-inspired design crafted in 38mm and 26mm cases featuring beautiful marble dials.

The origins of Bvlgari Bvlgari trace back to 1975, when Gianni Bvlgari designed the Bvlgari Roma as a limited gift for the brand’s top 100 clients. That watch, with its engraved bezel with the letters “BVLGARI ROMA”, drew heavily from Roman architecture and ancient coins. Though it was never intended for mass production, the timepiece was so loved that a commercial version, called the Bvlgari Bvlgari, was introduced in 1977, reinterpreted by Gérald Genta. This new version carried the now signature engraved bezel with the letters “BVLGARI BVLGARI”. Over the years, the collection has undergone numerous evolutions in size, material, and design, including occasional logo-free dials and slimmer profiles. Now, in 2025, Bvlgari honours its origins by returning to those foundational elements with two precious-metal models.

The 50th Anniversary Edition (Ref. 104112) comes in a slim, 38mm x 8.75mm yellow gold case. Its bezel features the original “BVLGARI ROMA” engraving, evocative of the first-ever, while the caseback bears a special 50th-anniversary inscription. It captures eyeballs with its deep green Verde Alpi marble dial—clean and logo-free—accented with golden baton indices, Arabic numerals at 6 and 12 o’clock, and slender gold hands. Its 26 mm counterpart features the same marble dial, accented with diamond hour markers.

The Marble Dial model (Ref. 104113), by contrast, opts for the familiar BVLGARI BVLGARI double-logo bezel and omits the anniversary engraving on the caseback. Crafted in rose gold, this version features a dial cut from Blu Incanto marble with natural veining, offering a beautiful contrast to the warmth of the rose gold. The design remains clean with no date window. Its 26mm version is adorned with an icy blue Azzurro Infinito marble, also with diamond markers.

The 38 mm models are powered by the brand’s automatic in-house BVL 191 Solotempo movement, which beats at a 4 Hz frequency and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The movement includes a stop-seconds function and ceramic ball-bearing rotor, visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. High-precision quartz movement powers the 26 mm models.

In keeping with the colour palette of the dials, the yellow gold anniversary model comes paired with a dark green alligator leather strap and gold pin buckle, while the rose gold variant is flanked with dark or light blue strap matching the dial. Water resistance for 38 mm models is 50 metres and for the 26 mm versions is 30 metres.

The 50th Anniversary Edition models are a limited edition of just 150 pieces each, while the blue marble variants join the brand as unlimited production models. The 38 mm automatic models are priced at INR 14,71,000 (approx.) and the 26 mm quartz models at INR 11,10,000 approximately.
