At the 2025 edition of Geneva Watch Days, Bvlgari has given a fresh look to its celebrated Octo Finissimo, designed by South Korean artist Lee Ufan. The new Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan x Bvlgari is presented as a limited edition of 150 pieces and extends the artistic interpretations of the line, a series that has previously included dials that served as a canvas for artists Tadao Ando (2021), Kazuyo Sejima (2022), Mo Coppoletta (2022 and 2023 models), Laurent Grasso (2024), and the Octo Finissimo Sketch by Bvlgari’s own Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani (2024).
Measuring 40 mm and only 5.15 mm thick, the novelty is crafted in titanium, including both the case and the bracelet. For this edition, both case and bracelet are finished by hand with irregular crisscrossing textures that recall the patterns of meteorite, elevating the sharp geometry of the timepiece’s design.
The contrast is heightened by the bezel, crafted in stainless steel with a sunray-brushed surface that frames the mirror-like dial—true to Ufan’s aesthetic of combining rock and mirror sculptures. The dial is minimalist and bears no inscriptions or branding. Time is displayed by black openworked hour and minute hands, while the small seconds are indicated off-centre with a matching black hand.
Turning the watch over, the sapphire caseback—engraved with Lee Ufan’s signature—reveals the in-house calibre BVL 138. This automatic movement features a platinum micro-rotor to maintain the slim profile. It operates at a frequency of 3 Hz and provides a 60-hour power reserve. The finishing includes thin Geneva stripes across the bridges, circular graining on the mainplate, and finely bevelled edges.
The Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan edition is offered at INR 19,30,000.
What we think -
Probably the best ever collaboration on the Octo Finissimo.
