Swiss watch brand Perrelet has introduced the much sought-after shade in the watch industry, salmon, to its LAB Peripheral collection. Alongside the new hue that contrasts elegantly with the signature peripheral oscillating weight in the 3 Hands & Date Salmon and Dual Time Big Date Salmon models, the line has also been expanded with a new steel bracelet version.
As the name suggests, the 3 Hands & Date is a time-only model combined with a date complication at 6 o’clock, while the Dual Time Big Date features a second time zone at 6 o’clock integrated with a day/night indicator and a two-window date display at 12 o’clock. Both timepieces are cushion-shaped, measuring 42 mm x 42 mm and crafted in stainless steel. Complementing it is a polished octagonal bezel with satin-finished concave, rounded sides. The case middle is brushed and features subtle grooves. Finally, the lugs are polished and brushed, adding the final finishing.
The highlight here is the dial, which is adorned with a vertical stripe pattern in the centre outlined by a satin-finished rim—creating a contrast with the rhodium-plated oscillating weight. The indices are elongated, applied to the central disc, and suspended towards the salmon flange, creating an illusion of floating over the dial. The indices and hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova®, offering legibility in low-light conditions.
These timepieces are powered by Perrelet’s in-house movements visible through the sapphire caseback. The 3 Hands & Date Salmon houses the P-411 calibre with 243 components, which beats at a 4 Hz frequency and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The Dual Time Big Date Salmon is driven by the P-421 calibre, an evolution of P-411, with 302 components and the same frequency and autonomy. The bridges are rhodium-plated and decorated with Côtes de Genève and 3N gold engravings. The movement’s peripheral oscillating weight, visible rotating on the dial, is mounted on ball bearings and enhanced with oblique stripes in relief.
Both models are flanked by black-coloured calf leather straps with alligator print and contrast stitching, closed with a folding clasp. And for the first time, the timepieces are offered with an integrated steel bracelet, completed with a satin finish. The watches are water-resistant up to 50 metres.
The Perrelet LAB Peripheral 3 Hands & Date Salmon is marked at a price of approx. USD 4,280 for the strap version and approx. USD 4,380 for the bracelet version. The Dual Time Big Date Salmon is priced at approx. USD 5,480 for the strap version and approx. USD 5,580 for the bracelet version.
