Omega kicks off 2026 with two new Speedmaster Moonwatch editions

Omega opened 2026 with the introduction of two new Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional black and white editions, expanding its permanent collection with a rare ‘reverse panda’ aesthetic. Available in either stainless steel or 18K Moonshine™ Gold, these models reinterpret the legendary Moonwatch with a rare reverse panda dial configuration, pairing a black main dial with contrasting white subdials, while maintaining the design language of the Speedmaster worn by Apollo 11 astronauts.

The watches feature the signature 42 mm asymmetrical case, characterised by twisted ‘lyre’ lugs and integrated crown and pusher protection. Both versions measure 13.18 mm in thickness, with a compact lug-to-lug distance of 47.5 mm. The design is framed by a black ceramic bezel ring featuring a tachymeter scale filled with white enamel. While the steel model utilises rhodium-plated hands and markers, the Moonshine™ Gold version features 18K gold hardware, both treated with white Super-LumiNova for legibility.

A central feature of these references is the ‘stepped’ dial, constructed using a double-plate architecture. The upper plate is finished in polished black lacquer, while the recessed white subdials are also varnished and lacquered to create depth and clarity. This layout is protected by a box-form sapphire crystal on the front, while a second sapphire crystal on the screwed caseback provides a view of the mechanical movement inside.

Powering the duo is the hand-wound Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. As the modern successor to the historic Calibre 321, this movement is certified by METAS for precision and magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz, and offers a 50-hour power reserve. The movement drives the central hours, minutes, and chronograph seconds, along with a hacking small-seconds sub-dial and 30-minute and 12-hour counters.

Both timepieces are paired with a matching five-link bracelet, made in either steel or Moonshine™ Gold, which tapers from 20 mm to 15 mm at the clasp. The bracelet includes Omega’s patented comfort release adjustment system, allowing for minor sizing changes without tools.

The stainless steel model (Ref. 310.30.42.50.01.004) is priced at INR 9,94,100 while the 18K Moonshine™ Gold edition (Ref. 310.60.42.50.01.002) is priced at INR 47,12,500
