Christopher Ward presents the colourful C60 Trident Reef collection

Breathing vibrant new life into its renowned C60 Trident collection of dive watches—first introduced in 2009 with the C60 Trident Automatic—Christopher Ward has unveiled the C60 Trident Reef. The collection is offered in five different shades and two case sizes: 41 mm and, for the first time in the series, 44 mm. Christopher Ward will donate 2% of Reef sales to the Blue Marine Foundation, supporting their mission to protect 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030.

The collection’s striking colour palette is inspired by the intricate, coral-like works of Ana Brecevic, a Franco-Croatian paper artist renowned for exploring biodiversity and marine fragility through sculptural, plant-dyed paper reliefs. The timepieces are available in five hues: Acro White, Chalice Yellow, Helio Blue, Galaxea Black, and Tuba Orange.

Each variant features a lightly sandblasted dial with a linear-brushed surface, while the handset and indices are diamond-polished. These components are coated in a semi-transparent, colour-matched varnish that enhances without obscuring detail. The chapter rings are applied in matte lacquer, while C1 BL Grade X1 Super-LumiNova® ensures high visibility in low light.

Making its debut with this collection is an all-new four-part Light-catcher™ case, available in both 41 mm and 44 mm sizes. Both versions share a sleek 11.45 mm thickness, sapphire crystal, and a 200 m water resistance rating. The case’s core is crafted in stainless steel, complemented by brushed lugs, polished bevels, a display caseback, and a colour-matched protective shroud in matte aluminium or sandblasted ceramic (used for the white version). The 120-click unidirectional bezel features trapezoidal teeth for improved grip and precision, with colour-matched inserts. Ceramic is again used for the white dial variant, adding durability and a refined texture.

Inside the collection beats the automatic Sellita SW200-1 movement, finished to Elaboré standards with a twin-flag rotor and Colimaçoné decoration. Operating at a 4 Hz frequency, it offers a 38-hour power reserve.

The Reef is available with either a three-link stainless steel Bader bracelet featuring the brand’s push-button extension system, or a range of colourful FKM Aquaflex straps. The bracelet version is priced at approx. INR 90,000, while the Aquaflex strap option is priced at approx. INR 75,000.

What we think -

Christopher Ward has done it again! Their fan favorite lightcatcher case now in 44mm size as well. The charitable cause is the best bit about these beautiful watches. The only thing that could have made more value is the addition of the date complication, since there wasn’t much restriction in terms of dial estate.
