Combining three classic measurement scales in a single watch – telemeter, pulsometer, and tachymeter – Angelus has introduced the Instrument de Mesures, offered in two limited editions of 25 pieces each. The new model expands the brand’s line of functional chronographs, continuing its tradition of creating practical timekeeping instruments while drawing inspiration from vintage chronographs.

The three measuring scales are featured on the dial, allowing the wearer to note three different types of information with a single chronograph hand. The telemeter calculates the distance to a sound-producing event by measuring the time between seeing and hearing it; the pulsometer measures heart rate based on 15 beats; and the tachymeter calculates average speed over one kilometre, covering speeds from 20 km/h to 500 km/h.

The timepiece follows Angelus’s recent series of instrument-inspired chronographs, including the Chronographe Médical introduced in 2023, the Instrument de Vitesse in 2024, and the Chronographe Télémètre, which received the Chronograph Prize at the 2025 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. The new model combines the signature scales of all three watches into a single design.

To accommodate the amount of information while maintaining legibility, Angelus developed a layered, three-dimensional dial with four distinct sections. The outermost level carries the telemeter scale, the sloping intermediate section houses the pulsometer, while the spiral tachymeter sits closest to the hands. The minute track completes the layout, and different colours distinguish each scale, making them easy to identify at a glance. Topped by a box-shaped sapphire crystal, the dial is available in two versions. One features an ebony-black base with blue, orange, and cream scales, while the other pairs an ivory-white dial with blue, red, and green markings. Both feature finely grained surfaces and vintage-inspired syringe hands.

The monopusher chronograph is operated through a single pusher integrated into the crown. Pressing the pusher once starts the chronograph, a second press stops it, and a third resets the central chronograph hand to zero, allowing users to quickly perform consecutive measurements. The watch is housed in a 39 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 9.25 mm, twisted lugs, and a slim bezel. The sapphire crystals on both the front and back feature anti-reflective coatings. Water resistance is rated at 30 metres.

Powering the Instrument de Mesures is Angelus’ in-house manually wound A5000 calibre. The movement operates at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with a 42-hour power reserve and incorporates a traditional column-wheel and horizontal-clutch chronograph architecture. Visible through the caseback, the movement showcases a gilded, 3N gold-finished main plate and bridges with circular graining, alongside bridges decorated with Côtes de Genève and polished bevels, circular-grained wheels, and polished screws. Palladium-treated chronograph components contrast against the gilded movement, highlighting the mechanism responsible for the watch’s timing functions.

The Angelus Instrument de Mesures is paired with either a black or tobacco calf leather strap secured by a stainless-steel pin buckle. Each variant is priced at approximately INR 21,50,000.
