Baume & Mercier has introduced two new limited editions within its Clifton collection – the Clifton Baumatic 39 mm Automatic with date and the Clifton Baumatic 40 mm Perpetual Calendar. Both models feature ice-blue guilloché dials and are powered by the brand’s Baumatic manufacture movement. The two bridge vintage-inspired design with contemporary watchmaking. Inspired by the aesthetic codes of the 1950s, the Clifton focuses on balanced proportions, refined finishes, and clear readability. Following the collection’s redesign in 2025, the new blue dials complement the more compact case proportions, domed sapphire crystal, strategically positioned Arabic numerals, and integrated crown.

Clifton Baumatic 39 mm
The Clifton Baumatic 39 mm, Ref. M0A10870, is 11.22 mm thick and features a round stainless steel case with polished and satin-finished surfaces, an integrated crown, an anti-glare, scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal, and an open sapphire caseback which can be personalised with an engraving. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres.

The ice-blue dial features a guilloché pattern, a black crosshair at the centre, and a snailed minute track. Riveted, rhodium-plated, trapezoid-shaped, slightly elongated indexes are combined with a rhodium-plated Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock. Faceted rhodium-plated alpha-shaped hour and minute hands, a rhodium-plated seconds hand, and a tone-on-tone date display at 6 o’clock complete the dial.

The watch is powered by the manufacture Baumatic BM13-1975 A automatic movement. It features circular-grained bridges, a sandblasted plate with snailed decoration, and an openworked oscillating weight decorated with “Côtes de Genève”, snailed finishes, and specific Baume & Mercier engravings. It displays hours, minutes, seconds, and date; beats at 4 Hz, and provides a 120-hour or 5-day power reserve.
Completing the timepiece is an integrated three-row stainless-steel bracelet with polished and satin-finished surfaces. An interchangeable-bar system allows the bracelet to be changed without tools.
It is priced at INR 3,57,000.

Clifton Baumatic Perpetual Calendar 40 mm
The second, the Clifton Baumatic Perpetual Calendar 40 mm, Ref. M0A10872, gets a 40 mm x 12.9 mm stainless steel case with polished and satin-finished surfaces and an integrated crown. Like the 39 mm edition, the sapphire crystal and the customisable caseback remain the same, as well as the water resistance.

The ice-blue guilloché dial features snailed counters and minute track, together with riveted, rhodium-plated, trapezoid-shaped, slightly elongated indexes and Arabic numerals at 2, 4, 8, and 10 o’clock. Faceted rhodium-plated alpha hour and minute hands are joined by rhodium-plated seconds and counter hands. A leap-year disc with a red pointer and a blue moon-phase disc with a polished rhodium moon complete the display.

The timepiece uses the automatic Baumatic BM13-1975 AC2, fitted with a Dubois-Depraz perpetual-calendar module. The movement offers a 120-hour, or five-day, power reserve, and operates at 4 Hz (28,800 vph). It is decorated with circular-grained bridges, a sandblasted plate with snailed decoration, and a gilded openworked oscillating weight decorated with “Côtes de Genève”, snailed finishes, and specific Baume & Mercier engravings. The perpetual-calendar display provides hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, month, leap-year indication, and moon phase.
An interchangeable blue alligator strap with all-square scales and tone-on-tone stitching flanks the case.
