Swiss watchmaker Tissot has introduced five new models in its Seastar 2000 Professional collection, bringing fresh colours and a slightly compact case. First launched in 2021, the Seastar 2000 Professional is the brand’s most advanced dive watch with 600-metre water resistance – adhering to the ISO 6425 standards.

Inheriting the DNA of the parent model, the new models are created for professional divers as well as everyday users. The five models are offered in three dial colours – stormy grey, deep blue, or bright orange – paired with 316L stainless-steel or black PVD-coated steel cases.

The 44 mm case is built with a helium escape valve at 9 o’clock to release helium built up during saturation diving. The case also features a unidirectional stainless-steel bezel with a ceramic insert to provide accurate dive timing, a screw-down crown, a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and a transparent sapphire caseback that showcases the movement. The watch offers water resistance of up to 600 metres.

The dial showcases an engraved wave motif with a gradient finish. For improved visibility in low-light and underwater conditions, the baton-style hands and applied indexes are coated with Swiss Super-LumiNova. It also displays the hours, minutes, and seconds with a date window above the 6 o’clock hour counter.

Powering the timepiece is the Powermatic 80 automatic movement, equipped with a Nivachron balance spring. It operates at a frequency of 3 Hz and delivers a power reserve of about 80 hours.

The collection is offered with Tissot's quick interchangeable strap system, allowing users to switch between two strap options – one is the tropic-style rubber strap, and the other is the stainless-steel bracelet. The bracelet features a newly designed clasp with a push-button, a security lock, and a push-button diver extension.

The price range of the Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional starts from INR 1,08,500 for the orange and blue dial versions with regular steel cases and straps, the model with black dial and steel bracelet is marked at INR 1,11,500, and the black PVD-coated models with black or blue dial are priced at INR 1,12,500.
