Taking another lap in its motorsports edition timepieces, TAG Heuer has created two limited-edition Formula 1 Solargraph 38 mm models that mark the final Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort. Both watches draw on the design of the original 1986 Formula 1 collection while giving it a more compact, modern format.

The 38 mm watches are made from sandblasted stainless steel capped by a flat anti-reflective sapphire crystal. A screw-down caseback and steel crown at 3 o’clock ensure water resistance of up to 100 metres.
The grey opaline dials are framed by an orange-and-red 60-second/minute flange and a bidirectional TH-Polylight bezel with the characteristic daisy motif and orange timing scale. Red lacquered applied indexes and red lacquered hour and minute hands use eggshell Super-LumiNova for daytime visibility and green emission in the dark, while a red lacquered central seconds hand and red TAG Heuer logo reinforce the motorsport-inspired colour scheme. The date is positioned at 3 o’clock, with the first model (Ref. WBY111H.FT8128) using a red date window and the second (Ref. WBY111L.BA0042) an angled date display.

Both are powered by TAG Heuer’s TH50-00 Solargraph movement, which uses natural and artificial light as its energy source. One minute of direct sunlight provides roughly a day of power; less than 40 hours of exposure can fully charge the watch for up to 10 months in darkness, and 10 seconds of light will restart it after stopping. The accumulator is rated for up to 15 years of use.
The first edition is limited to 1,500 pieces and comes on an orange rubber strap with a steel pin buckle engraved with TAG Heuer. It is priced at CHF 2,000. The second is an e-commerce exclusive limited edition of 1,000 pieces, distinguished by a sandblasted three-row steel bracelet and a folding clasp with double safety push-buttons and an adjustment-link extension. This one is priced at CHF 2,100. Both watches come in dedicated packaging marked “TAG Heuer Formula 1 Limited Edition.”
