Founded in 1992 by American master watchmaker Roland G. Murphy, RGM is considered as the only company currently producing high-grade mechanical watch movements in the United States. The Pennsylvania-based manufacturer gained prominence in 2007 with the launch of its in-house Calibre 801, the first American-made mechanical movement of its kind. The new Model 151 Snoopy Flying Ace combines the collection’s aviation-inspired design with artwork drawn from Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts universe, including what RGM describes as the first depiction of Snoopy’s Flying Ace character on a true grand feu enamel dial.

The model features an American-made case available in 316L stainless steel and Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). It measure 38.5 mm in diameter, with a thickness of 9 mm for standard versions and 10.6 mm for the enamel-dial model, and a lug-to-lug length of 48 mm and a 20 mm lug width. A highlight of the Model 151 collection is its thin bezel, which allows for a notably large dial opening. The stainless steel version is available with polished, brushed, or mixed finishes, while the titanium models feature a brushed finish. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal on both the front and caseback, allowing a view of the movement, and offers water resistance up to 50 metres. Depending on the case material, the crown is crafted from either stainless steel or titanium.

The dial is available in two variants – a matte light blue metal dial and a white grand feu enamel dial. The enamel version is produced using a complex multi-stage firing process, which creates a durable, glossy surface with exceptional depth. The artwork depicting Snoopy, his red doghouse, and surrounding clouds is fired directly into the enamel. Both versions feature a two-level design with a single sunk section, while Super-LumiNova is applied to enhance legibility in low-light conditions. The watch features rhodium-plated sword-style hands or blued steel hands, both featuring luminous treatment. The clean aviation-inspired layout reinforces the pilot-watch character of the model.

Powering the Model 151 Snoopy Flying Ace is the RGM-Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement. This Swiss-made calibre operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour or 4 Hz. It is finished with a rhodium-plated treatment and decorated with traditional Côtes de Genève striping and perlage. It delivers a power reserve of approximately between 52 to 56 hours and supports hour, minute, and central seconds indications, with a date display available on certain Model 151 configurations.

The watch is paired with a Hirsch Performance strap that combines leather and rubber construction for enhanced durability and comfort. The strap thus offers the appearance and texture of leather while incorporating the practical benefits of a rubber lining, making it suitable for everyday wear. The combination complements the sporty yet refined aesthetic of the aviation-themed timepiece.

Pricing varies according to the dial and case material. The matte light blue dial is priced at approximately INR 3,70,000 in stainless steel and approximately INR 4,60,000 in titanium. The white grand feu enamel version is priced at approximately INR 8,40,000 in stainless steel and approximately INR 9,40,000 in titanium.
