The world's oldest watch brand, which has been in continuous production since its founding in 1755, Vacheron Constantin, has unveiled its latest novelties for Watches and Wonders 2026. The novelties include new movement engineering, with Calibre 2550 making its debut in the platinum Overseas Self-Winding Ultra-Thin, alongside a new Égérie for women, the skeletonised version of Calibre 2755, and the historical icon Historiques American 1921.

Leading the novelties is the return of a historical design from Vacheron Constantin’s archives – the Historiques American 1921 has been offered in two sizes, measuring 40 mm and 36.5 mm, housed in 18K pink gold cases. The timepieces retain the distinctive cushion-shaped case with a 45-degree diagonally oriented dial, originally designed for “gentleman drivers”. It features a grained silver-toned finish with blue Arabic numerals and blued 18K gold hands. Inside, the manually wound Calibre 4400 AS powers both models with a 65-hour power reserve. The movement’s architecture, as well, is rotated with the case to align with the angled display. The timepieces come with patinated dark blue calf leather straps with a gradient effect.

The other one that stole the show was the Égérie Moon Phase Spring Blossom. This poetic yet technically refined timepiece has been offered in a limited edition of 100 pieces. The 37 mm watch is crafted in 18K pink gold, paired with a light pink mother-of-pearl dial, which is decorated with the signature ‘pleats’ motif inspired by haute couture. There is an offset moonphase display between 1 and 3 o’clock, framed by 36 brilliant-cut diamonds, while gold moons drift behind mother-of-pearl clouds. The central circular track is applied with 18K gold ‘pearls’, traversed by pink gold hours, minutes, and seconds hands. The art expands to the pink calfskin strap, which is adorned with hand-painted spring blossoms, making each piece unique. Driving the watch is the automatic self-winding Calibre 1088 L, with approximately 40 hours of power reserve. The watch is accompanied by two additional straps – shiny pink alligator and light pink ‘grosgrain’ textile.

The next is the Overseas Dual-Time Cardinal Points, a collection of four references that reinterpret the maison’s flagship travel watch. The watch is offered in four dial colours, each representing a cardinal point on the compass and the different landscapes to be explored – white calls for the frozen North, brown refers to the continents and plains of the South, green represents the tropical jungles and deep forests of the West, and blue takes you to the meeting point of the ocean and sky, the Eastern horizon. The 41 mm watches are made with lightweight titanium and feature subtle orange accents on the dual-time and AM/PM indicators, while white gold markers with blue Super-LumiNova® ensure optimal legibility. Driving the watches is the automatic Calibre 5110 DT/3 with a 60-hour power reserve. The watches come with interchangeable straps, including a bold orange rubber option. The water resistance is rated at approximately 150 metres.

Rounding off the releases is the new ultra-thin Calibre 2550 introduced in the 255-piece limited-edition Overseas Automatique Ultra-Thin. Developed over seven years, the in-house movement measures just 2.4 mm thick, making it the thinnest ever fitted to an Overseas model, resulting in a total case thickness of only 7.35 mm. The movement features a platinum micro-rotor integrated into the mainplate, a streamlined gear train architecture, and a suspended double barrel delivering 80 hours of power reserve. The watch, as well, is crafted entirely in thermal-hardened 950 platinum (a copper-gallium alloy), giving it enhanced strength, hardness, and scratch resistance compared to traditional platinum 950. This is complemented by a salmon-lacquered dial with a sunburst satin-finished centre and velvet-finished outer seconds track. Completing the watch is the interchangeable 950 platinum bracelet, offered with additional beige rubber and dark beige alligator straps.
