Adding a cosmic timepiece to its Weekend collection, Perrelet has unveiled the new Weekend Aventurine (Ref. A1300/H), featuring an aventurine dial in the brand’s catalogue for the first time. Enveloped in a 39 mm case, the blue aventurine dial—with flecks of silver mica—captures the sparkling beauty of a clear, starlit night sky. More than just a decorative element, aventurine has long been valued for its calming properties, believed to ease anxiety and enhance well-being.
The watch’s stainless steel case, with a mix of polished and brushed surfaces, measures just 9.56 mm thick, and when combined with its diameter, the dimensions make the watch suitable for both men and women. The dial is capped with a sapphire crystal and features silver-plated baton hour markers and dauphine hands. A date window also finds its place at 3 o’clock.
Driving the timepiece is the in-house automatic calibre P-321, developed by SOPROD—a sister company within the Festina Group, of which Perrelet is also a part. The movement beats at a 4 Hz frequency and delivers a 42-hour power reserve. A sapphire crystal caseback offers a clear view of the finely finished mechanism, featuring circular-grained bridges and a solid oscillating weight engraved with the Perrelet logo and sunburst motif. The watch is water-resistant to 50 metres.
The timepiece is flanked by a midnight blue calfskin strap with an alligator motif, fastened with a customised steel pin buckle. The strap is designed with a quick-release system for effortless swapping.
The Perrelet Weekend Aventurine is priced at approximately INR 1,43,000.
What we think -
For the watchmaker that invented self winding movements this is the much needed shot in the arm. Clean and unique when half their catalog looks the same is indeed a step in the right direction.
