Maghnam presents two new models in the Mohareb line
Maghnam presents two new models in the Mohareb line

Arab independent watchmaker Maghnam, founded by designer and engineer Sohaib Maghnam, has expanded its Mohareb collection with a new sculptural model offered in two colours – Argent Crimson and Deep Blue. The new generation of Mohareb (Arabic word for “fighter” or “gladiator”) encapsulates the brand’s ethos of merging Arab cultural identity with Swiss high horology and is presented in a case inspired by the armour of a warrior, which can be modified into three different shapes.

Made from high-grade 904L stainless steel for its durability and corrosion-resistance properties, this ‘wearable armour’ for the wrist takes the design cues for the central case from a helmet. It is surrounded by modules that allow three interchangeable case configurations – Blades, Halo, and Wings. These can be changed in no time using a secure locking system integrated into the caseback. The Blades version emphasises sharp, protective elements, while Halo offers a more classic round profile, and Wings presents an oval, more fluid shape. The case is finished with contrasting polished and matte surfaces and engraved patterns reminiscent of battle scars.

Despite its bold appearance, the Mohareb measures 39.5 mm in diameter with a maximum thickness of 8.6 mm, tapering down to just 3.5 mm at the edges. The watch also remains lightweight at 43.5 grams and is water-resistant up to 10 metres.

The watch features a bi-retrograde system displaying hours across a 120-degree arc, which snaps back instantly to zero at the end of each cycle. The minutes are shown on a vertical linear counter at the top section of the dial. Driving this mechanism is the manual-wound MCR01-B movement, built on the Swiss Sellita SW210 base and updated with a proprietary retrograde module developed in-house. The movement runs on a 42-hour autonomy and is visible through the sapphire caseback.

The timepiece comes with three strap options – alligator leather, sailcloth, and bespoke configurations.

Each new Maghnam Mohareb model is priced at approx. INR 8,60,000.
