Longines has introduced new timepieces to its most recognisable rectangular-shaped women’s watch collections. DolceVita
Four novelties have joined the DolceVita collection, with particular emphasis on the dial, which is richly detailed with flinqué surfaces adorned with geometric patterns. The first offers a warmer tone by pairing an ivory flinqué dial with twelve 2N gilt Roman numerals and matching gilt hands. The second combines an ivory flinqué dial with twelve 5N rose-gold Roman numerals and coordinating rose-gold hands for a softer and more contemporary interpretation. The third features a silver flinqué dial accented by blue Roman numerals and blued-steel hands, offering a cooler, more architectural expression of the DolceVita style.

These animated dials interact beautifully with changing light, bringing a dynamic quality to the otherwise restrained and elegant design. Each model features the collection’s signature small-seconds display positioned at 6 o’clock. Complementing the dials are three new leather strap colours inspired by Mediterranean scenery – olive green, maple red, and midnight blue, respectively. Each strap is fitted with an interchangeable system, allowing for versatile styling. The fourth version comes on a stainless-steel bracelet equipped with a triple-folding safety clasp. This is a more classic version, featuring a silver flinqué dial with blued hands and Roman numerals.

The new DolceVita models are housed in rectangular stainless-steel cases available in two sizes. The smaller version measures 20.80 mm x 32 mm with a thickness of 6.90 mm, while the larger model measures 23.30 mm x 37 mm with a thickness of 7.20 mm. Both feature sapphire crystals, water resistance to 30 metres, and are powered by Longines quartz movements, with the L178.2 used in the smaller case and the L176.2 in the larger version.

All four models are priced at ₹1,70,000.

Mini DolceVita
The more compact version of the above, the Mini DolceVita collection, expands with two new jewellery watches. For the first time within the collection, Longines has used the snow-setting technique on the dial, with each adorned with 163 Top Wesselton diamonds totalling 0.268 carats.

Unlike traditional gem-setting methods, snow setting arranges diamonds of varying sizes in a seemingly organic composition, allowing the stones to nestle naturally against one another and create the appearance of freshly fallen snow. This is complemented by mother-of-pearl inserts positioned between the stones. Blue-painted Roman numerals and blued-steel hands provide elegant contrast against the sparkling backdrop, while the signature small-seconds display at 6 o’clock remains a defining element of the design.

These mini rectangular models are crafted in stainless steel, measuring 21.50 mm x 29 mm and topped by anti-reflective sapphire crystals. The water resistance is rated at 30 metres.
