Launched in 2024, Czapek & Cie.’s Antarctique Green Meteor used meteorite as a dial material, and the timepiece was a huge success. Building upon the same design, the brand has introduced the new Frozen Meteor. Where its predecessor had a deep green tone, the new model adopts a cooler light-blue Gibeon meteorite dial, whose colour and finish are inspired by raw denim, polar ice, and winter skies. The timepiece has been introduced in two case sizes – the larger Antarctique Frozen Meteor measures 40.5 mm and is limited to 38 pieces, while the more compact Antarctique S Frozen Meteor comes in a 38.5 mm case with production limited to 25 pieces. Both models pair stainless-steel cases with light-blue Gibeon meteorite dials and debut the brand's new V2 integrated bracelet.

The dial retains the natural Widmanstätten pattern found in the Gibeon meteorite, which fell in present-day Namibia approximately 600 million years ago and formed over millions of years as molten iron-nickel slowly cooled in space. Since the crystalline structure depends on how each slice of meteorite is cut, every dial features a unique pattern, ensuring that no two watches are identical. Produced by GT Cadrans near Lausanne, each meteorite slice is individually acid-washed and hand-polished to reveal the characteristic pattern before receiving multiple layers of light-blue lacquer. The lacquer is then polished to achieve a finish that changes in appearance as light strikes the surface from different angles. Applied metal indexes and the Antarctique's signature sword-shaped hands complete the dial while allowing the meteorite texture to remain the focal point.

The watches are housed in stainless-steel cases with box-shaped sapphire crystals featuring anti-reflective treatment and sapphire exhibition casebacks with anti-reflective coating on the inner side. The 40.5 mm Antarctique measures 10.6 mm thick with a lug-to-lug distance of 44.5 mm, while the 38.5 mm Antarctique S maintains the same 10.6 mm thickness with a shorter 42.8 mm lug-to-lug measurement. Both feature screw-down crowns and offer water resistance of up to 120 metres.

The Frozen Meteor editions also introduce the new V2 generation of Czapek's integrated stainless-steel bracelet. While maintaining the familiar design with polished C-shaped central links and brushed outer surfaces, the updated bracelet benefits from tighter machining tolerances that improve consistency between the links, reduce play, and create sharper transitions throughout the construction. Some surfaces also feature satin finishing on the underside, and the bracelet can now be fully disassembled to simplify servicing and refinishing.

Czapek has also redesigned the clasp, replacing the previous rotating locking mechanism with a new thumb-operated push-button quick-release system. This V2 bracelet is manufactured by Swiss specialists STL Swiss and RD Manufacture, and incorporates the brand's Easy Release system together with a micro-adjustment device. Each watch is supplied with an additional rubber strap, while a calfskin leather strap is available as an optional accessory.

Both models are powered by Czapek's in-house self-winding Calibre SXH5, first introduced with the Antarctique collection in 2020. The movement runs at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) using a Swiss lever escapement and a variable-inertia balance regulated by four gold inertia blocks. A recycled 950 platinum micro-rotor provides bidirectional winding, delivering a 60-hour power reserve from a single barrel. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement features seven skeletonised bridges inspired by the architecture of François Czapek's 19th-century pocket watches. It is finished with sandblasted black bridges, straight-grained bridge flanks, open ratchets, bevelled edges, and six hand-chamfered inward angles.

Alongside the launch of the Frozen Meteor editions, Czapek has confirmed that the Antarctique Passage de Drake Black Ink and Ice White references in both 40.5 mm and 38.5 mm sizes will be discontinued from 30 June 2026. The company said the decision reflects its strategy of maintaining a focused product portfolio while preserving the long-term value of existing references.

Both editions of the Czapek & Cie. Antarctique Frozen Meteor are priced at approximately INR 29,25,000.
