Bremont has introduced a compact 35 mm profile to its Terra Nova Jumping Hour collection – five timepieces have been released with elegant frosted finishes and new pink and burgundy dial options. The standard Frosted and the Frosted Pink are limited editions, while the other three, the standard 35 mm closed-dial model and the 35 mm and larger 40.5 mm burgundy models, are part of the regular production.

First introduced in 2025 as part of a major design shift for the British watchmaker, the Terra Nova Jumping Hour draws inspiration from early 20th-century military pocket watches and World War I trench watches. This closed-dial 38 mm model uses a montre à guichet (French for "window watch") display, in which apertures replace conventional hands to indicate the time, with a protective steel grille and three vertically aligned apertures for jumping hours, minutes, and running seconds. It was initially offered in bronze before versions in steel and black DLC followed. Alongside a larger 40.5 mm open-dial model was also introduced, which uses two offset apertures.

The new closed-dial version reduces the case to 35 mm. Its brushed stainless-steel protective plate now has two apertures for the jumping hours and minutes, while the small seconds display has been replaced by an engraved ‘Wayfinder’ compass motif. The plate carries only the “Bremont, London” inscription. The jumping hours disc has black numerals treated with Super-LumiNova that glows green, while the minutes are printed in black. Both apertures are protected by sapphire crystal, with a magnifier positioned over the hours display. The watch is available on either a steel bracelet or grey nubuck leather strap, both with quick-release systems.

Next are two limited 35 mm editions. The 150-piece Jumping Hour Frosted features a slightly sparkling frosted case and dial protector contrasted by a thick, brightly polished bevel. Other features remain the same, except the Wayfinder logo, pointer, and London inscription, which have been removed. The 6 o’clock features a polished Bremont appliqué. It is offered exclusively with a grey leather strap.

Bringing colour to the collection, the 200-piece Frosted Pink edition combines a frosted case and bezel with a hot-pink lacquered, sunray-effect dial. On it, the two apertures have white backgrounds with pink numerals, while a central seconds hand points to a peripheral railway-style track decorated with applied silver stars and diamonds at the even numerals. A quick-release pink nubuck strap completes the design.

The above model is also offered in a rich burgundy lacquered dial with applied dots and star markers around the periphery. Its hours and minutes apertures have black grained backgrounds with white numerals and are available with either a steel bracelet or burgundy leather strap.

The new collection also includes a larger 40.5 mm version, with a burgundy lacquered dial. It retains the left-centred display, with the jumping-hour aperture at 9 o’clock, the minutes window beside it, and a central seconds hand. It is available on a steel bracelet or burgundy leather strap.

All the new watches have sealed casebacks and are powered by Bremont’s customised Sellita-based automatic calibre BC634. Developed with high torque to ensure the jumping hours snap into place in less than 1/10 of a second, the movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a 56-hour power reserve. It uses a Glucydur balance wheel, Anachron balance spring and Nivaflex mainspring, and drives jumping hours, minutes, and seconds. The timepieces are water-resistant up to 100 metres, except for the 35 mm closed-dial model, which is 30 metres.

The standard 35 mm closed-dial model is priced at approx. INR 5,25,000, while the frosted closed-dial version is marked at approx. INR 6,00,000. The Frosted Pink is INR 5,65,000 (approx.), and both burgundy versions, in 35 mm and 40.5 mm, are priced at approx. INR 4,65,000.
