Zenith has unveiled a new iteration of its Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar, now featuring a vivid blue lapis lazuli dial. This celestial timepiece draws inspiration from the night sky - echoing the brand’s very name, which founder Georges Favre-Jacot chose to reflect the zenith, the highest point a star can reach.

The Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Lapis Lazuli (Ref. 03.3400.3610/51.C910) is housed in a 38mm stainless steel case, styled after the iconic 1969 A386 chronograph. It features pump-style pushers, slim lugs, and a raised box-shaped sapphire crystal, giving it a retro character. The case is water-resistant to 50 metres.

The star attraction is the lapis lazuli dial - each one unique, with natural gold-flecked pyrite inclusions that shimmer like constellations. Silver-toned chronograph subdials and a 1/10th of a second chapter ring provide contrast, while the full calendar layout includes day and month apertures at 11 and 2 o’clock, a date window at 4:30, and a moonphase display nestled within the 60-minute counter at 6. Rhodium-plated hands and hour markers, all faceted and filled with Super-LumiNova SLN C1, enhance legibility.

Turn the watch over to see the El Primero 3610 automatic calibre, a modern take on Zenith’s legendary high-frequency chronograph movement. Beating at 5 Hz, it enables ultra-precise 1/10th of a second chronograph measurement with a central seconds hand that completes one rotation every 10 seconds. It also includes a stop-seconds mechanism and offers a 60-hour power reserve. Through the sapphire caseback, the movement reveals a blue column wheel and Zenith’s signature star-shaped rotor with satin-brushed finishing.

The watch is delivered with two interchangeable options: a blue calfskin leather strap with a folding steel clasp, and a matching stainless steel bracelet, offering versatile wearability.

The Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Lapis Lazuli is priced at approximately INR 22,70,000.

What we think -

Stupendous blue on this release! The triple calendar module on the Chronomaster is probably the most underrated mechanical combination in the industry. Zenith has so much to offer yet it gets downplayed in the LVMH stable. We hope things will change for the brand soon.
