Franck Muller has created the Vanguard Ram Lalla Limited Edition for India in partnership with Kapoor Watch Company. The watch pays tribute to Lord Ram in his childhood form, worshipped at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and is limited to 108 pieces. The number refers to its spiritual significance in Hindu tradition and its association with the 108-bead prayer mala. Created exclusively for the Indian market in collaboration with one of the country’s foremost luxury watch retailers, the watch was unveiled in New Delhi, with sitarist, composer, and music producer Rishab Rikhiram Sharma as the special guest.

The watch features a three-dimensional, curved case crafted from 18-carat rose gold. Measuring 41 mm in width and 49.95 mm in length, its curved construction extends along both the length and width, allowing the case to sit seamlessly on the wrist. A crown is positioned on the side of the case, while the closed caseback is engraved with the individual edition number. The watch offers water resistance of up to 30 metres.

The highlight of the watch is the white-gold appliqué depicting Lord Ram in his childhood form as Ram Lalla, set against a contrasting black dial. Relief engraving adds depth to the figure. The dial’s artwork undergoes approximately 30 hours of laser processing, along with additional detailing. A sapphire crystal protects the dial. The detailing is enhanced by hand-applied and hand-painted hour markers, while the Vanguard collection’s distinctive appliqué numerals are hand-finished, complementing the overall design. The hours and minutes are indicated by skeletonised hands.
A Swiss automatic mechanical movement powers the watch. It is paired with a hybrid strap combining natural rubber and grape-based vegan leather. The strap is secured with two concealed screws, allowing it to follow the curved shape of the case.
The Franck Muller Vanguard Ram Lalla Limited Edition is priced at INR 31,25,000.
