Expanding its Overseas collection, Vacheron Constantin has unveiled its first fully gem-set 35 mm High Jewellery models, marking a new milestone for the line. The two models are introduced in 18K white gold (Ref. 4617V/215G–H039) and 18K 5N pink gold (Ref. 4617V/215R–H040), completely set with brilliant- and baguette-cut diamonds, from dial to case, bracelet to buckle.

The 35 mm case was first launched in the Overseas line in 2023, designed to suit a wide range of wrists. With a thickness of 8.43 mm, the case retains the familiar Overseas design codes, including the Maltese cross–inspired bezel, integrated bracelet, and screwed-down crown. It is for the first time that, in this size, every visible surface is gem-set, totalling 1,430 diamonds weighing approximately 12.58 carats. The watches are still water-resistant to 50 metres.

The bezel shines with 60 invisibly set baguette-cut diamonds - one of the most demanding gem-setting techniques, where ultra-thin gold rails (typically about 0.2 to 0.4 mm thick) are hidden beneath the stones. Taking several hours for just one stone, each baguette diamond is individually cut with microscopic V-shaped grooves to lock into the framework with tolerances of just 0.02 mm, creating a seamless surface where no metal is visible.

Coming to the dial, 314 brilliant-cut diamonds dazzle in the snow setting, which uses gemstones of varying sizes arranged randomly and positioned to minimise visible metal and maximise light reflection. Against this shimmering background, the twelve hour markers are marked by baguette-cut diamonds, while slim gold hands in matching case metal display hours, minutes, and central seconds, enhanced with blue Super-LumiNova® for legibility. A date window at 3 o’clock completes the dial layout. Extending to the lugs and the integrated 18K gold bracelet, 884 snow-set brilliant-cut diamonds add more sparkle to the timepieces, with each link set individually before assembly.

Powering both models is Vacheron Constantin’s automatic manufacture calibre 1088/1, which operates at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and delivers a 40-hour power reserve. It drives hours, minutes, and central seconds with a stop-seconds function, as well as the date. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement is finished with Côtes de Genève, bevelled bridges, and the signature 22K gold rotor decorated with a compass rose.

The bracelet is designed with a tool-free interchangeable system and easy-fit micro-adjustment, allowing fine sizing adjustments directly on the wrist. Additionally, each watch is delivered with a white rubber strap and a coloured alligator strap - brilliant blue for the white gold model and fuchsia for the pink gold version. Moreover, the interchangeable pin buckle, crafted in the same gold as the case, is set with 62 brilliant-cut diamonds and can be swapped between straps without tools.
