Omega has added two new references to its Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M lineup, both featuring a turquoise fumé dial framed by a brushed black ceramic bezel, a material previously seen on higher-end Aqua Terra references like the World Timer. The watches are available in 38 mm and 41 mm case sizes.

The stainless steel cases retain the Aqua Terra’s familiar silhouette with twisted lyre lugs and polished surfaces. The 38 mm model (Ref. 220.32.38.20.03.001) measures 12.4 mm thick with a 44.9 mm lug-to-lug length, while the 41 mm model (Ref. 220.32.41.21.03.001) comes in at 13.3 mm thick, with a 47.9 mm lug-to-lug length. Both are water-resistant to 150 metres, feature screw-down crowns, and are fitted with sapphire crystals on the front and back, treated with anti-reflective coating for legibility in bright light.

The turquoise fumé dials are the centrepiece of the design. Starting with a bright turquoise tone at the centre and darkening toward the periphery, the effect can appear almost black under certain light. A turquoise minute track encircles the dial, while grey PVD-treated and diamond-brushed indices, as well as the hour and minute hands filled with white Super-LumiNova, provide contrast and legibility in low light. The hands are further accented by an orange-tinted fade in the fumé effect. The applied Omega logo and the darkened date window at 6 o’clock complete the dial.

Both models are powered by METAS-certified Co-Axial Master Chronometer movements. The 38 mm version is driven by the Calibre 8800, with a 55-hour power reserve, while the 41 mm model houses the Calibre 8900, offering a 60-hour reserve. Both run at 3.5 Hz, are resistant to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss thanks to silicon balance springs, and feature Omega’s industrial-style finishing with rhodium-plated rotors, blackened screws, and Geneva waves in arabesque visible through the sapphire caseback.

Each watch is fitted with a woven-effect black rubber strap, secured by a folding clasp and finished with turquoise stitching to match the dial.

The new Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Turquoise with ceramic bezel is priced at ₹7,19,800.

What we think -

While the Seamaster Aqua Terra has a major identity crisis, this release is probably the most coherent and sensible version in a few years. The powdered texture enamel dials are a sight to behold, and the turquoise, already done to death, has been nailed in the perfect shade.
