Corum has unveiled the Heritage Coin collection to mark the 250th anniversary of United States Independence on July 4, 2026, reviving its iconic Coin watch, launched in 1964. The collection includes 50 different models, each dedicated to a state in limited editions of 5.

Corum was founded in 1955 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and has built a reputation for introducing distinctive timepieces with collections such as Admiral, Golden Bridge, and Heritage. In 2025, the brand celebrated its 70th anniversary and entered a new phase after returning to Swiss ownership. In 2026, the brand debuted at the Watches and Wonders fair in Geneva. The new Heritage Coin collection is a reflection of Corum’s tradition of creating distinctive models while marking a historic token of the 250th anniversary of the United States Independence Day.

“The Coin is far more than a Corum watch – it is a reflection of over sixty years of history and a bond woven with America. When the opportunity to celebrate its 250th anniversary arose, the answer was obvious. We wanted to create something unique, where each piece tells a different story. It is, for us, the most beautiful way to honour this celebration,” says Haso Mehmedovic, Chairman & CEO of Corum.

The watch is crafted in a 39 mm yellow gold case, with a thickness of 7.60 mm. Just like the original Coin watch, the case here is also inspired by a real American Double Eagle gold coin. The original Double Eagle coin was divided into two parts, where the front half became the dial and the back half became the caseback. An 18K yellow gold ring was placed between the two halves, where the ultra-thin movement was mounted. For the new Heritage Coin, the case is made from 3N 22K yellow gold, with a state-specific coin back cover. The edge of the case displays the original patterns that were present on the coin. The assembly and finishing of each watch is done by hand. The state-specific design and limited edition number are present on the caseback. The watch offers water resistance up to 30 metres.

The dial carries the original coin design and showcases the American eagle with “250 Years of Independence” engraved on it, and the 3-dimensional detailing of the coin is also visible, which adds a sense of uniqueness to the model. Two baton-shaped hands are present for hours and minutes, whereas the original US Mint design is kept the same.

The watch features Corum’s automatic CO082 movement that runs at a frequency of 4 Hz, has 21 jewels and offers a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement displays hours and minutes. It is paired with a textured vulcanised rubber strap with a leather-like finish and is secured with a 3N 18K gold pin buckle.

Every model of the 50-state edition is limited to five pieces; hence, the collection sums up to a total of 250 models. The Heritage Coin is priced at approximately INR 55,00,000.
