It was in 2025 when Rexhep Rexhepi rose to become one of the greatest watchmakers in contemporary times. The timepiece that marked this success was the LVRR-01 Chronographe à Sonnerie, the world’s first chiming chronograph created in collaboration with Louis Vuitton. The watch world was head over heels with the superior craftsmanship the timepiece possessed and Rexhepi’s talent. Though this was a breakthrough in his career, his creations go back to 2012 when he crafted the AK-01, which had an original case, neither round nor tonneau, but somewhere in between, and housed a tourbillon monopusher chronograph movement. Rexhepi believes his art has only grown finer since then.

Now, ahead of Watches and Wonders, the watchmaker has presented a new timepiece, called RRCHF – Rexhep Rexhepi Chrono grapH Flyback. The watch represents his philosophy of watchmaking as performance-driven, where every component, from the case and movement to the grand feu enamel dials and hand-stitched straps, has been handcrafted in-house.

At its core lies an integrated flyback chronograph movement featuring a central chronograph seconds hand and an instantaneous minute counter. It is made of 320 components and 30 jewels, beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and runs with a 72-hour power reserve.

Measuring 38.8 mm in diameter, 9.7 mm in thickness, and a lug-to-lug of 48.8 mm, the timepiece is offered in two variations – platinum with a stormy blue grand feu enamel dial and rose gold with a black grand feu enamel dial. Adding depth to the display, the dials feature grey-tinted sapphire counters – hours at 12 o’clock, minutes at 4 o’clock, and seconds at 8 o’clock – placed in perfect symmetry. The hands are made from polished steel and carry a rounded profile, with distinctive stepped detailing at the tips of the minute and central seconds hands, the latter also featuring a slight curve. Chronograph hands are partially tempered to achieve a copper-toned hue, creating a subtle distinction. These dials are outlined by a stepped bezel. Sapphire crystals protect the watch from both the front and back, and the water resistance is rated at 30 metres.

The screw-down caseback is aligned to the centre of the elongated lugs, from which the hand-stitched nubuck calfskin leather straps are attached. Attention to detail is taken care of here as well. The platinum model is paired with a light grey strap, while the rose gold version comes with a taupe strap, both accented with Norwegian-style central stitching.
Finished entirely by hand, the watch is decorated with Côtes de Genève, polished inward angles, black polishing, poli-bercé, and circular graining.
