Introducing the latest addition to its annual summer tradition celebrating the brand’s origins in the Swiss village of Hölstein, Oris has unveiled the Hölstein Edition 2025. Since 2020, each Hölstein Edition has offered a distinct reinterpretation of classic Oris models, capturing the independent spirit and design heritage of the brand. The 2025 edition is a stealth-inspired take on the Big Crown ProPilot, giving a playful touch to the serious tool watch.
The Hölstein Edition 2025 is housed in a 41 mm × 11.9 mm multi-piece stainless steel case fully coated in black DLC (diamond-like carbon), giving it a sleek and tactical appearance. The timepiece retains the signature Big Crown ProPilot features, including the turbine-inspired fluted bezel, screw-down crown, and a domed sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective coating on the underside. Around the back, the screw-in caseback features a sapphire display framed by a luminous ring of Super‑LumiNova that glows in the dark to reveal the watch’s “Hölstein Edition 2025” designation. The case offers 100 metres of water resistance.
The matte black dial is equally subtle in daylight but reveals surprises after dark. It features a no‑date layout with applied Arabic numerals and blackened hands, all treated with white Super‑LumiNova. In low light, the lume glows green to reveal a hidden image of the Oris Bear between the 3 and 4 o’clock positions—a whimsical signature that’s completely invisible in daylight.
Driving the Hölstein Edition 2025 is the in‑house automatic Oris Calibre 400. The movement offers a 5‑day (120‑hour) power reserve, thanks to twin barrels, and operates at a frequency of 4 Hz. It is highly anti‑magnetic and boasts a daily accuracy rate of –3 to +5 seconds.
The timepiece is completed with a black textile strap lined with leather and fastened by Oris’s proprietary ‘LIFT’ folding clasp finished in black DLC.
Limited to just 250 individually numbered pieces and priced at approx. INR 4,39,000, the Oris Hölstein Edition 2025 will be available starting June 2025 through Oris boutiques, the brand’s eShop, and authorised retailers.
What we think -
An annual tradition that is welcomed by the world is the Oris Holstein Limited Edition, and we always trust the brand to push the envelope in their own indomitable style every year. The Oris Bear makes a fun appearance on the fully lumed dial and the icing on the horological cake. Love it!
