Independent Swiss watch brand Norqain has expanded its renowned Independence line with a new vibrant timepiece, the Independence Skeleton Chrono 42 mm Orange.

The 42 mm case, crafted from 316L stainless steel, measures 13.90 mm thick with a lug-to-lug span of 49.80 mm. Its screw-down crown ensures 100 metres of water resistance. Additionally, the left side of the case holds a steel plate that can be engraved with a custom message.

The watch’s skeletonised orange dial reveals the intricate workings of the movement while forming a subtle outline of mountain peaks, alongside featuring the flyback chronograph. Accents in vibrant orange are balanced by black counters positioned at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock, hosting the 30-minute chronograph and seconds functions respectively. A white minute scale and rhodium-plated diamond-cut hands, filled with white X1 Super-LumiNova®, run along the orange outer ring, ensuring clarity and legibility in all conditions. The central chronograph seconds hand, gunmetal-plated and also luminescent, adds contrast to the vibrant dial under a double anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

Powering the timepiece is the COSC-certified automatic chronograph movement, 8K Manufacture Calibre (NK24/1), which features a column-wheel mechanism for smooth operation and enables instant resetting and restarting of the timer with a single push. The calibre offers a 62-hour power reserve, beats at 4 Hz, and showcases a personalised oscillating weight and bridge inspired by the world’s 14 “Eight-Thousanders” - mountain peaks rising above 8,000 metres.

The Independence Skeleton Chrono 42 mm Orange is available with two distinct options: an integrated orange rubber strap featuring a refined Milanese pattern with a steel pin buckle, priced at INR 5,93,000, or a stainless steel bracelet at INR 6,19,000
