Launched in 2021, M.A.D. Editions was a parallel watch brand created by MB&F’s founder Max Büsser to offer a fair opportunity and reward its friends, suppliers, and collectors. The project aimed to make the brand more accessible and affordable, and the debut timepiece was the colourful M.A.D. Editions M.A.D.1. Since then, the M.A.D. Editions timepieces have been loved by watch enthusiasts worldwide, who keep looking out for the raffles—the only and fairest way to get a M.A.D. Editions watch by registration.

This year, M.A.D. Editions has collaborated with British-Nigerian designer Yinka Ilori to unveil the M.A.D.1S Grow Your Dreams. Known for his vibrant and optimistic design language, Ilori has created three colourful editions titled Sun, Nature, and Water, each limited to 400 pieces.

The watch is based on the M.A.D.1S, a slimmer reinterpretation of the original M.A.D.1. Its 42 mm stainless steel case measures 15 mm in thickness, with a sapphire crystal on top and a mineral glass barrel on the side. A precision-machine-grooved bezel incorporates HyCeram coloured ceramic inlays, hardened with heat and hand-polished for a refined finish. The caseback shape remains unchanged—an X-shaped frame that extends towards the four lugs and supports the mineral glass. The watch is water-resistant to 30 metres.

The dial side features a front-mounted titanium rotor, visible beneath the sapphire crystal. For this edition, it has been reshaped, slimmed, and milled with a tree motif symbolising hope and growth. Each rotor is anodised to create the edition-specific colours—yellow for Sun, green for Nature, and blue for Water—and treated with Super-LumiNova accents. Beneath the rotor, an aluminium baseplate is textured with stamped wave-like patterns for added depth.

Driving the timepiece is the Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G101 movement, chosen for its slim profile and extended 68-hour power reserve. It beats at 4 Hz frequency, contains 24 jewels, and has been inverted to display the hours on a rotating cylinder along the caseband, with Super-LumiNova numerals ensuring legibility in low light. Like previous M.A.D.1 models, it retains the brand’s signature high-speed spinning rotor.

Each model comes on a rubber strap embossed with a leaf pattern, in Ilori’s mismatched colour combinations—yellow and green for Sun, purple and red for Nature, and two shades of blue for Water. A second interchangeable white strap is included with every piece, secured by a stainless steel folding buckle.

The Grow Your Dreams watches will first be allocated to the MB&F Tribe (owners) and Friends (suppliers) on a first-come, first-served basis. The remaining pieces will be offered via a public raffle running from September 2nd to 8th, 2025. The timepiece is priced at approx. INR 3,50,000.
