Longines has added a new Central Power Reserve model to its Conquest Heritage collection, celebrating 70 years of the Conquest line. Founded in the 1830s in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, the brand has introduced numerous timepieces and has played a significant role in sports, aviation, and navigation. The Conquest collection was introduced in 1954 and became the brand’s first watch collection to have its name legally protected by the Swiss Federal Intellectual Property Office, hence marking an important milestone in Longines’ history. The new Conquest model inherits the central power reserve display from the 1959 Conquest Central Power Reserve and combines the design of the original model with modern technology.
The watch is crafted in a 38 mm round stainless-steel case, has a thickness of 12.30 mm, a lug-to-lug length of 45.60 mm, and a lug width of 19 mm. The case features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with multi-layer anti-reflective coating on the top and has a screw-down transparent sapphire crystal caseback. The watch offers magnetic resistance and is water resistant up to 50 metres.

The model features a light blue opaline dial and has applied hour markers followed by polished hands. A central power reserve indicator is integrated into the dial along with the hours, minutes, seconds, and date display. The Swiss Super-LumiNova is present to offer visibility in low-light conditions.
The timepiece is powered by the Longines Calibre L896.5, a self-winding mechanical movement that operates at 25,200 vibrations per hour or 3.5 Hz and is visible through the transparent caseback. It has a monocrystalline balance spring and offers a power reserve of 72 hours.

The model is paired with either a stainless-steel bracelet, secured with a double-security folding clasp that features a micro-adjustment system, or with a grey strap made from alligator leather, lined with calf leather and secured with a traditional buckle.
The bracelet model (Ref. L1.648.4.92.6) is priced at INR 4,55,000, and the leather model (Ref.L1.648.4.92.2) is priced at approximately INR 4,38,000.
