Jacob & Co. has unveiled its latest tribute to Lord Ram, the Shri Ramchandra Limited Edition, based on the brand’s Astronomia Solar. The timepiece follows the Epic X Ram Janmabhoomi Edition, which commemorated the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The Epic X Wonders of India Edition also featured the Ram Mandir alongside other iconic Indian landmarks.
A limited edition of just 3 pieces, the new Shri Ramchandra Limited Edition brings forth a three-dimensional celestial display featuring representations of Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, and the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
The 45.5 mm watch is crafted in 18K rose gold, with a figurine of Lord Ram at 6 o’clock, while Lord Hanuman appears at 9 o’clock and the miniature Ayodhya Ram Temple between 2 and 3 o’clock. Between the two figures, a blue lacquered Earth rotates on its axis once every 60 seconds, serving as the running seconds display. At 12 o’clock, a one-minute flying tourbillon provides a mechanical element to the rotating display.

Hours and minutes are indicated by an off-centred dial made from orange fire opal, with hands made from 5N rose gold. At the centre of the arrangement, an orange cubic zirconia cut in Jacob & Co.’s signature Jacob-cut style represents the sun. Driving this three-dimensional display is the in-house, hand-wound JCAM42 calibre. The movement comprises 295 components and delivers a power reserve of 48 hours.
The case features a single-piece sapphire crystal band extending around its sides, complemented by a domed sapphire crystal that provides an unobstructed view of the display. Skeletonised lugs connect the rose gold case to a blue alligator-leather strap, secured by a gold deployant clasp. On the reverse, a custom plate engraved with the words “Jai Shri Ram” adds the final detail.
