Expanding its sapphire watch collection, Hublot has unveiled the new Big Bang Sapphire Sky Blue, a limited edition of 100 pieces that combines the brand's expertise in transparent sapphire cases with its in-house Meca-10 manufacture movement. Hublot describes the new model as another step in its ongoing work with sapphire, a material the brand has developed extensively in recent years through both transparent and coloured executions such as Big Bang Unico Sapphire (2016), Big Bang Unico Orange Sapphire (2021), Big Bang Integral Tourbillon Full Sapphire (2021), and Big Bang 20th Anniversary "Master of Sapphire" (2025), among others.
The watch is housed in a fully polished 44 mm blue sapphire crystal case and a matching sapphire bezel secured by six H-shaped titanium screws. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial, while the sapphire caseback offers an unobstructed view of the movement.

At its centre is the HUB1201 manufacture Meca-10 calibre, a manually wound movement first introduced in 2016. Developed around an open-worked construction inspired by Meccano-style mechanical systems, the calibre is made of 223 components and is powered by two parallel mainspring barrels. It beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and delivers a whopping 240-hour (10-day) power reserve.
One of the defining features of the Meca-10 is its unconventional rack-and-pinion power-reserve mechanism. Instead of a traditional display, two sliding racks move across the movement from the 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock axis, creating a dynamic dual power-reserve indication. The movement drives hours, minutes, small seconds at 9 o'clock, a power-reserve indicator at 6 o'clock, and a low power-reserve indicator at 3 o'clock.
The open-worked dial is finished in a matte sky-blue tone, with matching movement bridges that emphasise the watch's transparent construction. The skeletonised design reveals the movement's architecture while maintaining legibility through contrasting hands and displays.

The case is paired with a structured sky-blue rubber strap fitted with a titanium deployant buckle clasp, completing the monochromatic aesthetic, while allowing easy strap changes with Hublot's One-Click strap-change system. Furthermore, the watch is water-resistant to 50 metres.
The limited-edition Hublot Big Bang Sapphire Sky Blue (Ref. 424.JX.5120.RX) is available through selected Hublot boutiques, authorised retailers, and the brand's official website. The watch is priced at approx. INR 90 lakh.
