Hublot and Yohji Yamamoto come back together for the new Classic Fusion All Black Camo
Hublot and Yohji Yamamoto come back together for the new Classic Fusion All Black Camo

Known for its Art of Fusion, Hublot has once again collaborated with Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto to create the Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo. A limited edition of 300 pieces, the timepiece exudes the charm of the all-black design language, aligning with both Hublot’s “Art of Fusion” philosophy and Yohji Yamamoto’s long-standing approach to challenging fashion norms. The two first officially collaborated in 2020 to unveil the Big Bang GMT All Black Yohji Yamamoto, a black ceramic watch with a GMT function, followed by the Big Bang Camo Yohji Yamamoto with a black ceramic case and camouflage pattern on the dial and strap, and finally the new monochrome black timepiece.

The new Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo comes in a 42 mm matte black ceramic case, measuring 10.4 mm thick, with microblasted surfaces that absorb light for a smooth but non-reflective finish. Complementing the black case are the black-plated, polished titanium H-shaped screws on the bezel, a Classic Fusion signature.

The dial introduces a subtle black-on-black camouflage motif, rendered in relief rather than colour contrast. Under changing light, the camo pattern becomes visible through shifts in texture. Maintaining the monochrome theme, the matte black-plated hands maintain legibility, while Yamamoto’s signature at 6 o’clock completes the dial.

Turning the watch over reveals a smoked sapphire caseback that partially conceals the automatic HUB1110 movement. The calibre operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. Its skeletonised rotor is visible through the darkened sapphire, preserving the all-black aesthetic while offering a glimpse of the mechanics within.

The strap continues the dialogue between fashion and watchmaking. It combines black fabric with black rubber, blending Yamamoto’s tactile couture sensibility with Hublot’s technical materials. A black-plated steel deployant clasp secures the watch on the wrist. Each piece is delivered in a custom, all-black presentation box bearing Yohji Yamamoto’s signature.

The Hublot Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo is priced at approx. INR 11,85,000.
