Favre Leuba unveils the Chief Skeleton
Favre Leuba unveils the Chief Skeleton

Favre Leuba has introduced its first fully skeletonised timepiece, the Chief Skeleton, developed in collaboration with AMT Manufacture, Sellita’s sister company. The timepiece is presented in two versions—the Chief Skeleton FLS01, with a 4N18 gold-finished movement inside a brushed and polished stainless-steel case, and the Chief Skeleton FLS02, which presents an anthracite black-chrome finished movement within a black DLC-coated steel case.

Retaining the Chief Collection’s 1970s-inspired cushion profile, the 40 mm case is finished with alternating brushed and polished surfaces. Visible through the curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the movement’s multi-layered architecture includes a semi-exposed mainspring barrel at 12 o’clock and a balance wheel at 6 o’clock, with the balance wheel enhanced by the brand’s horizontal brushing.

The case itself measures 40 mm in diameter, with a thickness of 11.76 mm and a lug-to-lug span of 47.59 mm. Constructed in 316L stainless steel, the case is topped by a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, ensuring optimal legibility, while a sapphire crystal caseback offers a second viewpoint of the openworked movement. The case is water-resistant to 100 metres.

The dial’s skeletonised design is framed with applied rhodium-plated indexes and hour and minute hands, polished and filled with Super-LumiNova® C1 X1, emitting a blue glow in low light.

In FLS01, the bridges are finished in warm gold tones with adouci brushing at 12 and 6 o’clock and colimaçon decoration (pattern like a snail's shell), while FLS02 features the same finishing techniques executed in black chrome. The movement beats at a frequency of 4 Hz and delivers a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It is fitted with a skeletonised custom rotor, sunray-brushed and engraved with the brand’s name, in either gold-tone or black DLC to match the case.

The steel-cased FLS01 with its gold-finished movement can be paired with a green, blue, or black minute track and corresponding FKM rubber strap. The DLC-coated FLS02 with anthracite movement extends these choices with the addition of an ice-blue minute track option. Each version is equipped with Favre Leuba’s integrated quick-change strap mechanism and secured with a pin buckle.

The Favre Leuba Chief Skeleton is offered at INR 3,79,000 for the gold-movement model and INR 3,89,000 for the model with black DLC movement.
