Favre Leuba has expanded one of its most sought-after collections, the Chief Chronograph, with two striking new dial colours—British Racing Green and Dune. Introduced in 2024, the Chief Chronograph revived the brand’s cushion-shaped chronographs of the 1970s.
The Chief Chronograph’s multi-layered dial is crafted through more than 100 individual production steps. The process combines a sunburst-finished main dial, circular-brushed sub-dials, and a ribbed contour pattern, creating a three-dimensional interplay of light and texture. Because this intricate layering challenges the uniformity of colour application, only select tones can withstand the process. After the success of the original blue, black, and ice-blue editions, the British Racing Green draws from motorsport heritage dating back to 1903, while the Dune introduces a warm sandy tone positioned between beige and soft gold.
The dials feature sunray and brushed finishes, with hands filled with Super-LumiNova® X1. The bicompax chronograph layout includes a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and running seconds at 9, outlined by a tachymeter scale on the inner ring.
Both new editions share the Chief Chronograph’s 41 mm cushion-shaped stainless steel case, finished with a mix of brushed and polished surfaces. It measures 14 mm in thickness and is water-resistant to 100 metres.
The timepieces are powered by the FLC02 automatic chronograph movement, developed in partnership with La Joux-Perret. Beating at 4 Hz with a 68-hour power reserve, the movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, where Geneva stripes, perlage, thermally blued screws, and a skeletonised rotor with colimaçonnage and soleillage finishes reveal meticulous decoration.
Each watch is paired with an integrated two-link stainless steel bracelet with polished centre links and brushed surfaces, secured by a butterfly clasp. An alternate FKM rubber strap, colour-matched to each dial and fitted with a stainless steel pin buckle, is also available for a sportier look.
With the steel bracelet, the new Favre Leuba Chief Chronograph timepieces are priced at ₹4,33,000, while the rubber strap versions are priced at ₹4,23,000.
