Citizen has expanded its popular Tsuyosa collection with three new additions, named the Tsuyosa 60. A line of watches designed for everyday wear with multiple colour options, the Tsuyosa (meaning “strength” in Japanese) draws inspiration from the NH299 series—the brand’s best-selling mechanical line from the late 1990s and early 2000s. That collection was notable in Citizen’s history for its use of stainless steel cases and bracelets, offering improved robustness, elegant finishes, and a refined look—at a time when many affordable watches still relied on brass. The new models stand out with dial colours in black, dark green, and ash blue, each decorated with geometric patterns inspired by Art Deco motifs, giving the watches a more formal, dress-oriented appeal.

The 40 mm watches measure 11.7 mm in thickness, with three case variations flanked by a steel bracelet featuring fine brushing, chamfered detailing, and polished centre links. The black dial is paired with a full stainless steel case, the dark green dial is housed in a stainless steel case with yellow gold plating on the bezel and the central bracelet links, and the ash blue dial comes with a warm gold-coloured stainless steel case. A butterfly clasp ensures a comfortable fit, while the crown positioned at 4 o’clock maintains a streamlined silhouette. Protected by a sapphire crystal, the dial is completed with luminescent-coated hands and indices, and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. The watches are water-resistant to 50 metres.

Powering the watches is the automatic Calibre 8310, which beats at a frequency of 3 Hz and offers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours when fully wound. The movement also incorporates a stop-seconds function and maintains an accuracy of -20 to +40 seconds per day. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback.

The black dial model (Ref. NK0020-55E) is priced at approx. INR 43,000, the dark green version (Ref. NK0024-54X) at approx. INR 46,000, and the ash blue model (Ref. NK0023-57L) at approx. INR 49,000.
