Embracing the spirit of summer, Chopard has unveiled a new timepiece in its beloved Happy Sport collection—the latest Happy Fish (Ref. 278598-6001). A limited edition of just 250 pieces, this whimsical creation captures the poetic movement of the ocean with a vibrant and playful design.
The standout feature of this summery Happy Fish is its dial—a shimmering turquoise mother-of-pearl, sourced from the innermost iridescent layers of select shells. Its natural texture and vibrant hue evoke the sunlit waves of a tropical sea, providing the perfect backdrop for three dancing diamonds and a mobile fish charm crafted in rose gold, set with diamonds and an onyx eye. This joyful marine motif continues the legacy of the original Happy Fish design, which first appeared in 1998 as a whimsical offshoot of the Happy Sport line.
The 36 mm case is crafted from Chopard’s exclusive Lucent Steel™, a high-tech alloy composed of at least 80% recycled material. Lucent Steel™ is 50% harder than conventional steel, offering exceptional brilliance, durability, and hypoallergenic properties. The case is accented with ethical 18K rose gold on the crown and each lug’s cabochon. A blue sapphire is set into the crown, adding a luxurious touch. The caseback is engraved with “Happy Sport,” paying tribute to the iconic collection. Completing the timepiece is a matte turquoise grained calfskin strap with a matching Lucent Steel™ buckle, reinforcing the aquatic inspiration.
The timepiece is complemented by a matching pendant (Ref. 799450-9601), exemplifying Chopard’s artistry in jewellery and horology. Crafted in ethical 18K white gold, the pendant mirrors the watch’s oceanic theme with engraved wave motifs on a turquoise gradient background. It also features three dancing diamonds and the same rose gold and diamond fish charm, echoing the timepiece in miniature form.
Offered as a set, the Happy Fish watch and pendant are produced in limited quantities, celebrating summer with playful elegance.
