Parmigiani Fleurier has expanded its Ultra-Cermet chronograph collection with the new Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Ultra-Cermet Mineral Blue, introducing a new blue colourway while retaining the technical architecture that made the series a milestone in high-end watchmaking.

The Ultra-Cermet is a pioneering industry-first composite material that blends the extreme scratch resistance of ceramic – rated at around 1,450 Vickers – with the tactile comfort and reflective elegance of titanium, which constitutes its 40 percent build. It is produced by sintering ultra-fine ceramic and titanium powders under heat and pressure before being precision-machined using diamond tooling. It was also the first time, with the debut of Parmigiani's Ultra-Cermet models, that a brand crafted an entire case out of Cermet. All 72 components of the case – including the case middle, fluted bezel, screw-down crown, pushers, and even the pin buckle – were made from this unified material.

The latest addition replaces the previous monochromatic Milano Blue and London Grey finishes with a Mineral Blue theme. The watch features a 42.5 mm case measuring 13.3 mm thick. Alternating satin-brushed and polished finishes highlight the material's changing appearance while maintaining the understated design language of the modern Tonda PF collection. The watch is fitted with anti-reflective sapphire crystals on both sides and offers 100 metres of water resistance.

Its new Mineral Blue aesthetic centres on a brushed Blackor-treated dial paired with Mineral Blue chronograph counters, whose colour shifts between darker and brighter shades depending on the ambient light. The dial features Blackor-plated 18K gold applied indices and skeletonised hour and minute hands filled with luminescent material, while the chronograph and small seconds hands are crafted from Blackor-plated steel. The chronograph layout includes 30-minute and 12-hour counters at 3 and 9 o'clock, a running seconds display at 6 o'clock, and notably omits a date display, preserving the clean, symmetrical dial design.

Visible through the sapphire caseback is the in-house COSC-certified Calibre PF070, developed in collaboration with sister company Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. The integrated automatic chronograph movement combines a column wheel and vertical clutch, operates at a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz), and delivers a 65-hour power reserve. It features satin-finished open-worked bridges with hand-finished bevels, along with a skeletonised 22K rose gold rotor decorated with polished and sandblasted finishes.

The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Ultra-Cermet Mineral Blue (Ref. PFC931-1020024-400182) is paired with a matching Mineral Blue textured rubber strap secured by an Ultra-Cermet pin buckle. Joining the brand's permanent collection, the chronograph is priced at approx. INR 50 lakh.
