After the massive success of its sold-out "Ice Cream" edition and the more recent "Sprinkles" models, Swiss independent watchmaker Norqain has unveiled the Freedom GMT Enjoy Life "Holiday" Limited Edition. This colourful travel watch celebrates the joy of exploration while introducing an unusual incentive for collectors. Limited to 500 pieces, the new model hides a single "Golden Ticket" among the production run, with one lucky owner winning a week-long holiday for two at the luxury Ayada Maldives resort.

The timepiece is the first in the collection to feature a GMT complication, reiterating its role as a companion for frequent travellers and adventure seekers. The holiday theme comes alive on the matte white dial featuring a colourful world map in shades of orange, pink, and turquoise. The same colour gradient extends to the 24-hour GMT ring, where the colours transition gradually to evoke the changing hues of sunrise and sunset during summer holidays.

There are 25 hand-drawn "Holiday Icons" scattered across the dial, GMT scale, and date display. These include flip-flops, sunglasses, a beach umbrella, swim trunks and a bikini, all of which replace the date numeral every seventh day as a reminder to embrace a holiday mindset. The GMT scale itself incorporates five themed symbols that reflect different moments of a travel day. A crescent moon represents midnight, while an icon at 2 a.m. signifies sleep. A coffee cup appears between 8 and 9 a.m., followed by a sun icon during daytime hours. Finally,  a cocktail icon between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., alongside the words "Happy Hour," celebrates the relaxed rhythm of summer evenings.

The travel theme extends beyond the watch itself. Norqain has presented the limited edition in a bespoke aluminium travel case that includes a passport holder, a world map insert, and a tin box containing pins that owners can use to mark destinations they have visited or hope to explore in the future.

The dial features rhodium-plated diamond-cut applied indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova, while the diamond-cut hour and minute hands are coated with white X1 Super-LumiNova for enhanced low-light visibility. The rhodium-plated GMT hand is tipped in turquoise, while the date window is positioned at 6 o'clock. It is protected by a scratch-resistant box-shaped sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, while the open caseback is fitted with a flat sapphire crystal.

The Freedom GMT Enjoy Life "Holiday" Limited Edition is based on the brand's existing Freedom GMT platform. Its 40 mm case is crafted from 316L stainless steel, measuring 14.5 mm thick with a 49.3 mm lug-to-lug length. A screw-down crown bearing the Norqain logo helps ensure a 100-metre water resistance. The left side of the case features the brand's signature engraved plate, which can be personalised by the owner.

Powering the watch is the Norqain Manufacture Calibre NN20/2, produced in partnership with Kenissi. The automatic movement is COSC-certified and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with 28 jewels and a 70-hour power reserve. Designed specifically for travellers, it incorporates a practical jumping local-hour function that allows the hour hand to be adjusted forwards or backwards independently via the crown while automatically changing the date in either direction. The movement is visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback, which is decorated with the "Enjoy Life" logo alongside the inscription "ONE of 500". The movement also features a personalised bridge engraved with the brand’s core values – "Adventure, Freedom, Independence" – and a customised oscillating weight.

The Freedom GMT Enjoy Life "Holiday" Limited Edition is offered in two references. Ref. N2100.22S02.W01.S01 on a stainless steel bracelet, priced at INR 5,92,000, and Ref. N2100.22S02.W01.R01 on a white rubber strap, priced at INR 5,75,000.

The Golden Ticket prize includes six consecutive nights in an Ocean Villa for two adults on a full-board basis, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Norqain has confirmed that the method by which the winning owner will discover their prize will remain confidential until September.
