Phillips auctioneers, in partnership with Rolex, held an auction in London on September 28 for the Roger Federer Foundation and Re:wild, where four exclusive gem-set Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona timepieces raised combined proceeds of £37.3 million, equivalent to US$49,467,260, €43,488,070, and CHF41,153,090 (approx. ₹480.81 crore). The Roger Federer Foundation, founded by former Swiss tennis player and Rolex’s global brand ambassador Roger Federer, supports early and foundational learning for children in Southern Africa and Switzerland. Re:wild, a global environmental conservation organisation co-founded in 2021 by American actor and film producer Leonardo DiCaprio alongside a group of renowned conservation scientists, is aimed at protecting and restoring ecosystems. Each was auctioned individually by Phillips Senior Consultant Aurel Bacs.
The four unique Daytona watches are powered by Superlative Chronometer-certified Rolex Calibre 4131 with 72 hours of autonomy. Each represents the four seasons through combinations of precious metals, natural stones, coloured gemstones, and diamonds. Apart from their respective coloured stones, the watches in common carry 54 brilliant-cut diamonds on the lugs and crown guard, weighing approximately 0.86 carats.

The Winter Cosmograph Daytona (Ref. 126596 SABV) is sold for £10 million. It features a 950 platinum case, a blue opal dial with lapis lazuli counters, eight baguette-cut and three square-cut diamonds set in 18K white gold, and a bezel set with 36 trapeze-cut sapphires in a blue-to-fuchsia gradient weighing approximately 5.57 carats.
