Marking the 50th anniversary of the Monza, TAG Heuer has unveiled the new Monza Flyback Chronograph, ahead of the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d'Italia 2026 that took place in Monza. A limited edition of 500 pieces, the timepiece honours the racing history of the original 1976 Monza.
In 1971, Heuer became the Official Timekeeper of Scuderia Ferrari, becoming the first watchmaker to partner with a Formula 1® team. Later, when Niki Lauda won the 1975 Formula 1® World Championship for Ferrari, Heuer introduced the Monza collection in 1976 to celebrate the achievement. Its distinctive racing-inspired design established it as one of the brand’s most recognisable chronographs.

The 50th anniversary model takes after the TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronograph introduced in 2023. Its 42 mm cushion-shaped case is made from forged carbon, a lightweight and highly resistant material widely used in modern motorsport. The material’s marbled texture also gives each case an individual appearance.
The case is topped by a domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment and is equipped with a fixed carbon bezel and a carbon crown at 3 o’clock. Two black DLC steel round pushers are positioned at 2 and 4 o’clock. The black DLC titanium Grade 2 screwed caseback carries an individual limited-edition engraving from XXX/500. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.

Its black matte dial features black chronograph counters with red accents inspired by the original Monza. A black flange carries both tachymeter and pulsometer scales. The chronograph minute counter is positioned at 3 o’clock, the permanent seconds display at 6 o’clock, and the angled date aperture at 9 o’clock. White lacquered hour and minute hands and indexes, all coated with Super-LumiNova®, provide visibility in low light, while a red lacquered central chronograph hand adds another racing-inspired detail.
Driving the new Monza is the COSC-certified TAG Heuer Manufacture Calibre TH20-12. The automatic movement features a flyback chronograph, allowing the chronograph to be reset and restarted with a single press without first stopping the timing sequence. The movement can be viewed through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Completing the watch is a black perforated calfskin leather strap with contrasting red stitching, secured by a black DLC titanium Grade 2 sandblasted folding clasp with double safety push-buttons. The TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronograph (Ref. CR5092.FC8372) is priced at approx. INR 14,50,000.
