At the launch of the latest boutique for Panerai at Ethos City of Time we got to speak with Mr. Pranav Saboo, the CEO & MD of Ethos. He elaborated on the brand’s special long time connection with the retail chain, and what makes him excited about Panerai.

In the whole watchmaking world there are barely a handful of watchmakers who focus on and excel at making astronomical timekeeping devices. Christiaan van der Klaauw, the brand named after its founder, is well known for looking to the heavens and creating miniature astronomical systems to be worn on the wrist. We met and spoke with Pim Koeslag, the CEO and prodigy of the brand, and got to understand how the brand makes such otherworldly watches and where the maison is headed.

On his recent visit to India, Chronoholic sat down with Mr. Alain Delamuraz, the CEO of Jaquet Droz. He spoke at length about the all new direction the erstwhile independent watchmaker is headed on where they cater to bespoke and unique expressions of watchmaking rather than sticking to mainstream production, and how it leads to better business sense in the long run in maintaining the brand’s heritage.
