Celebrating its decade-long relationship with American tennis player and entrepreneur Serena Williams, Audemars Piguet has unveiled the Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph “Serena Williams”. The 500-piece limited edition features a pink-tinted mother-of-pearl dial combined with a 38 mm white ceramic case and an integrated bracelet.

Along with the case, the bezel and the crown are also made from white ceramic, while the integrated bracelet is hand-finished with alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces. The watch is water-resistant to 50 metres and is also offered with an interchangeable pink rubber strap with white ceramic studs and a titanium AP folding clasp.

The highlight, the polished pink-tinted mother-of-pearl dial, is completed with tone-on-tone chronograph counters, 18K white gold hands, and rhodium-toned 18K pink gold applied hour markers filled with luminescent material. Rhodium-threaded borders surround the sub-dials, while a polished inner bezel frames the dial. A colour-matched pink date window with white numerals is positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the automatic Calibre 6401, which drives the chronograph, hours, minutes, small seconds, and date functions. The movement operates at 4 Hz or 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 55-hour power reserve. It is visible through a glareproofed sapphire exhibition caseback framed in titanium and engraved “Limited Edition”. The calibre is finished with Côtes de Genève, circular graining and hand-beveling, along with a 22K pink gold oscillating weight.
